Beadnell Bay is an award-winning beach in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Northumberland coast and is within walking distance of Seahouses where regular boat trips leave for the seabird rich Farne Islands.

About Cheviot View

A well-presented cottage for three that has the option of being part of a group book with one or both of its sister properties, together sleeping 10. There is a double bedroom and a single with a bathroom that has a shower over the tub.

The front door opens up to a closed porch and through to an open plan living space that includes a kitchen with a contemporary dining table and chairs. The sitting room’s laminated wood flooring flows through to a heated conservatory which has a French door opening out to the garden.

The enclosed outdoor space has garden furniture for alfresco dining and a lawn that will be appreciated by the pooches. There is off-road parking for one car, and on-road for another.

Things To Do in Bamburgh

If you would rather spend your holiday taking it easy then the secluded bay is only a stroll away, as is the village’s hub with its family and a dog-friendly pub that has quiz nights and live music events. The well-stocked convenience store makes it easy to buy bits for a beach picnic.

Beadnell Bay is a wide, sandy beach in a horseshoe shaped bay backed by grassy dunes just south of the village, forming a natural harbour. The glorious golden sand, curves around the bay forming a natural harbour. The beach is a popular spot for swimming and as well as surfing, sailing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. In the village there is a sailing club as well as shops where you can rent water sports’ equipment. For the more adventurous there is even are snorkelling and scuba diving opportunities, even a “seal snorkelling safari” around the nearby Farne Islands.

There are plenty of opportunities for walkers and one that scores high with hikers is the four miles to National Trust owned village of Low Newton-by-the-Sea. En route you will come across the Newton Pool, a fresh-water nature reserve teeming with grebe, mute swan and moorhens. The big reward at the end of this moderate walk is the Ship Inn, virtually in the middle of nowhere, yet one of the most sought-after pubs on the Northumberland Heritage Coast. It has its own microbrewery producing white beer such as Sea Coal and Raspberry Wheat as well as bitters such as Dolly Daydream and Ship Hop.

Why risk booking a holiday abroad this year when there is miles and miles of the pristine Northumberland Heritage Coast to discover? This holiday home comes with options too. Not only is it ideal for up to three guests, you can book the adjoining two properties so that in total there’s room for a larger gathering of kith and kin. The advantages of Cheviot View don’t end there – the beach is a mere three minutes’ walk from the door and the pub five minutes.

Sun, sand and sea might be top of your stayaction agenda, but the joy of this destination is that there is so much more to offer. It is not called the Heritage Coast for nothing because there is a castle on almost every turn on the clifftops overlooking the sea. Not only that there are at least four links’ golf courses close to Beadnell that welcome non-members.

The cottage has been thoughtfully presented from its sunny conservatory to its well-equipped kitchen that makes preparing meals a pleasure rather than a chore. If you have four-legged family members in tow, then the enclosed lawned garden is going to give you peace of mind to let them off the lead for a scamper.
