Space and a light, airy interior is the order of the day here and there is even a rooftop patio, great for sundowners or coffee while you enjoy the sunrise over the rolling hills. Outside there is split-level decking for BBQing and meals under the skies.

Bamburgh, famous for its pristine beach and majestic castle, is only four miles away and there is are two good pubs in the village where you can get to know the locals.

About Cragside Townhouse

Over three floors, the family bathroom and the two bedrooms are on the first floor, the twin an en suite shower, and there is a king-sized bedroom on the top floor that has French doors leading onto the rooftop space.

The sitting room has a coal effect built-in fire, and the large eat-in kitchen has double doors leading out to a vast lawned garden. There is a cloakroom and a separate utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside, the split-level decking includes a hot tub and charcoal BBQ, plush seating, and a dining table and chairs for alfresco meals.

Things To Do in Belford

A visit to the two pubs in the village will give you a real flavour of what this corner of Northumberland is all about. The Salmon Inn has commissioned its own ale Sling Yer Hook from the nearby VIP Brewery and serves some tasty dishes such as the bacon and black pudding stack and catches of the day. The pub is dog-friendly and has a pool table, darts board, jukebox and shows all major sporting events.

Bamburgh is only four miles from Belford and if you start early, you can cycle or walk to this renowned stretch of sand with the majestic castle on the cliff looming over it. It is sheltered, so it is ideal for swimming in the gentle breakers, and it is one of the best surf spots in the country. There are surfing lessons available and KA Sports in nearby Chathill offers these as well as coasteering sessions. This is a mixture of swimming, cliff traversing, rock pooling, caving and cliff jumping. It is an ideal teambuilding or quality family and friend time activity.

If you are into kayaking, bodyboarding and snorkelling, you can hire these from Boards and Bikes. All the fit residents in the area will tell you that you haven’t lived if you haven’t done some sand sleighing or dune diving. Buy round sand sliders from any major online retailer before you come, and you will have endless hours of fun on the sandy dunes at Bamburgh.

This townhouse’s location means you have everything at your fingertips, with the Northumberland National Park close by and some of the best beaches in the country are within walking distance. Spend your first couple of days relaxing in the lap of luxury in this spacious holiday home that has an emphasis on outdoor socialising.

If you have forgotten anything, then there is a general store and chemist just down the lane. Why not take this opportunity to drop into the Sunnyhills Farm Shop that is as olde worlde as it gets. Under exposed pitched wooden rafters its offers a selection of fresh fruit, vegetables and locally sourced meat. Pick up some of the shop’s famous sausages and some charcoal and head back to base to cook them on the BBQ.

Unwinding has never been this easy and the joy of Cragside is that its bedrooms span across two floors and each is almost as spacious as the next. However, there might be a tussle for the top bedroom because it leads directly out to the rooftop patio that has outstanding views of the countryside.
