You won’t find things like amusements and other things you would see at traditional UK seaside resorts. It’s more famous for its history and relaxed nature than other resorts nearby.
Scarborough Castle is one of the fantastic family days out you can do with the dog. Dogs must stay on a lead.

Another unusual thing to do while staying in Scarborough is the North Bay Railway. It’s a hundred per cent dog friendly, and the dogs are even allowed to ride the train, although they do have to be kept on a short lead. The trains start mid-morning (10.40am) and run between Peasholm Station & Scalby Mills, near Scarborough Sea Life Center.
