Things To Do in Haverigg
Lazey Cottage is at the heart of Cumbria’s unspoilt coastal reaches, close to the quaint village scenes of Coniston Water, and within a mile or so of some of the most celebrated lakeside and peak walks in the north of England. Dogs will love exploring extensive Windermere as well as the country lanes and stretches around Coniston.
History lovers can take a tour of the local heritage, from Millom Castle down towards Haverigg Lighthouse, which is only a few minutes away from the cottage itself. Adventurous holidaymakers and their pets can take a lookout at Scafell Pike, and there’s also the local marina, where you’ll be able to do a spot of bird watching and enjoy the waterside ambience.
Everyday amenities are only a short drive away thanks to the well-connected A-roads close to the cottage. Just across the way are the communities of Askam in Furness and Dalton in Furness, home to the Sandscale Haws, a wonderful National Trust spot. You are also only a few minutes down the road from the coastal community in Ravenglass.
Lazey Cottage brings you, your family and your dogs closer to the unspoilt hidden gems of the coast. There are plenty of links to towns, villages and more in the county without you ever being distracted by unnecessary noise or light pollution!
Those who have never had the chance to explore this part of the world before will find this spot to be the perfect vantage point. Take a break from the city bustle and relax a little.
We think Lazey Cottage is a marvellous bolthole, really bringing together the best of the wild coast as well as the Lake District further up the mainland. If you and your family have your heart set on taking a waterside break and want to bring a couple of pets with you, this delightful cottage does have it all.
With amazing coastal views as well as a spacious patio, open plan living space and all mod cons, this cottage spot is a home away from home. The main lounge, replete with Sky TV packages, should give you plenty to entertain the family with when you’re not out and about exploring the local sands and village scenes.
Of course, the property is only around a mile to Millom, too, meaning you won’t have to go far for your daily groceries. This is a charming holiday cottage that’s always lovingly presented, and it’s roomy enough for a small family of four – and their pets – to kick back and relax in.
We love the addition of kitchen amenities here, and the fact there’s a small area for your pets to stretch their legs in is a massive bonus. The perfect bolthole!
