Old Nene Golf & Country Club is in a quiet area of Cambridgeshire a few miles from Huntingdon and Peterborough. Each of the lodges has been built from wooden logs and offers a spacious holiday home with a stylish decor.

Double doors lead out onto a deck area where you can sit in peace and enjoy the lovely surroundings. If you play golf you can pre-book a round or two, or enjoy a session on the golfing range to practice your swing.

To explore the local area, take a drive into Ely or Cambridge and enjoy the cathedrals, shops and restaurants.

About Old Nene Golf and Country Club

On the edge of a golf course, these 1 and 2 bedroom wooden lodges have a peaceful location.

Each one has been stylishly decorated and comes with a deck outside, and some places have a hot tub too. The clubhouse offers a place to enjoy a drink and there’s a restaurant there as well.

There’s a 9-hole golf course, a 16-bar driving range and a small fishing lake on the site.

Things To Do in Ramsey, Nr Huntingdon

Ramsey is a market town in the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside. It’s within easy reach of Peterborough, Huntingdon, Ely and Cambridge so there is a lot to see in the local area.

Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse is all that remains of the stunning Benedictine abbey, but you can see the incredible arches and read about the history of the building.

Ramsey also boasts a rural museum with carts, machinery and an old cobbler shop on display. A gift shop and tea room are also on the site.

The Nene Valley Railway welcomes dogs on board the heritage trains for a small fee. Travel along the 7.5-mile track with an all-day ticket and hop on and off at each station for a look around Orton Mere or Overton.

Thorpe Meadows has rowing lake, cycle paths and a sculpture trail and is a popular place to wander with your dog. Take in the fantastic art pieces, let the kids play on the swings and watch the birds from the hides.

Nearby Peterborough has a stunning cathedral to tour, and a museum connected to it, plus there’s a shopping mall as well.

Ely is a charming city and is home to an incredible cathedral. There is also a weekly market and a lovely park that leads to the river where they used to catch eels. Antique shops here are crammed from floor to ceiling with fascinating old pieces.

Golf lovers will enjoy a stay here. A 9-hole course is on the site and a golfing range too, plus the clubhouse is the ideal place to enjoy a drink at the end of the day.

Nearby there is a choice of things to do with the dog, such as walk in the Crown Lakes Country Park or a ride on the Nene Valley Railway trains.

The cities of Cambridge and Ely are just a few miles away, and Peterborough is on the doorstep for shopping and a sculpture park.
