Baytree Cottage has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area and one bedroom with twin beds which can be made into a king size option if required.
The sofa bed offers flexible sleeping arrangements or sleeps a third person, and the living area is just the right size for getting creative in the kitchen with locally-sourced ingredients.

Things To Do in Birch
Once the capital of Roman Britain, Colchester is just fifteen minutes by car from Birch and there are regular bus services as well. Colchester’s pretty town centre has national chain stores and department stores as well as locally-run shops, delicatessens and cafés.
Visit Colchester on a Friday and Saturday for fresh food and a bargain at the city’s market held on the High Street and make sure you look out for the other regular markets and street fairs which happen throughout the year.
The Minories Galleries, run by Colchester School of Art, shouldn’t be missed. Located in a listed Georgian building, there is a public art gallery which is free to enter and a fantastic shop selling individual pieces from local artists. Buy something here and you never know, you could be investing in a valuable piece of art for the future!
The Minories is also home to the ‘Tiptree’ Tea Room, the brand of famous jams and marmalades made nearby. Enjoy your cup of tea and scones with this world-famous jam inside or on sunnier days, the peaceful garden is a wonderful choice.
