Things To Do in Hogsthorpe
If you are staying at the bungalow with family, why not take advantage of the close proximity to the coastal towns of Chapel St Leonards and Skegness with their abundance of entertainment and activities.
If you have children that need entertaining a visit to the Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary might be just the ticket.
The sanctuary is a non profit organisation that rescues donkeys that you can come and meet and even feed carrots to in their calm, loving home along with some other animal friends including Humbug and Tigger two resident Zeedonks, Tinkerbell and Katie, two Shetland ponies and Turpin the gentle giant Welsh pony.
You can also enjoy a family gathering in the picnic area and as long as your pooch is kept on a lead they can come too.
On the same animal theme, make the most of your time in Skegness and visit the Natureland Seal Sanctuary. A place dedicated to rescuing abandoned or sick seal pups.
In addition to all the seal pups you can also meet meercats, guinea pigs, sheep and rabbits! You can also see stunning butterflies, some penguins and even some exotic fish if you dare cross the crocodile pond.
A visit to Skegness would of course not be complete unless you take full advantage of the many amusements, entertainment centres and Fantasy Island Funfair.
Closer to home, the village of Chapel St Leonards has everything you need including a post office, beach restaurants, a bakery and a number of bars and shops.
Add to this the numerous places to explore in the local countryside by foot or cycle and you have the perfect holiday destination with something for everyone.
