Things To Do in Sheringham
The town of Sheringham has a traditional feel. The promenade is lined with beach huts and the sands are family friendly.
The town also offers plenty of gift shops, eateries and a weekly market. Plus, there are all kinds of events that take place here like a 40’s weekend, beer festival and annual carnival.
Sheringham Park is a National Trust open space covered in purple heather, and the Beeston Bump is waiting to be climbed – it’s a hill formed in the ice age. For steam train enthusiasts, the North Norfolk Railway starts at Sheringham and goes on to Holt offering views over the sea on the route.
Blakeney Point is a nature reserve where wildlife and birds can be spotted. For boat trips out to see a colony of seals, this is the place to board. A dog-friendly beach where your pet is welcome all year can be found at East Runton. It’s popular with families due to the rock pools that form as the tide goes out. Cromer, with its Victorian pier and seaside amusements, is within an easy drive. And quaint harbour and long stretch of beach at Wells-next-the-Sea is a must-see town in North Norfolk.
