Things To Do in Wells-next-the-Sea

With Blakeney Point a few miles in one direction, and Wells-next-the-Sea 5 minutes in the other, Manor Cottage is surrounded by great places to visit.

Stiffkey is a delightful village in North Norfolk located on the edge of the salt marshes. From the village you can join the North Norfolk Coastal Path for long strolls with the dog spotting wildlife and birds as you go. For nature lovers, this area has lots to discover especially at Blakeney Point.

This reserve has a long sand and shingle beach, salt marshes, mud flats and an area popular for crabbing. And you can board a boat trip from here that takes you out to see seals in their natural habitat. A dog-friendly excursion that is a must-do if you’re staying in this part of Norfolk.

Our Thoughts

Norfolk offers space to relax and unwind. With long, unspoilt beaches, salt marshes and coastal walks, you can really get back to nature here. The seaside towns in the north of Norfolk are traditional, quaint and popular, and the villages inland offer a rustic charm and dog-friendly pubs.

Blakeney Point and Well-next-the Sea have more than enough going on to keep visitors to the area busy. And Manor Cottage is perfectly located to enjoy all three places without having to travel too far at all.

This cottage makes the ideal base to explore this part of Norfolk, its comfy living room and sweet country kitchen provides you with everything you need, and a little bit more.
