Things To Do in Cromford
Barn Owl Cottage’s rural location is perfect for those who enjoy long country walks with their pooch or learning about the history of a town and its people who changed the course of history. Richard Arkwright, the famous industrialist hailed from Cromford and you can still see his mills in the town today.
For those travelling with children, Gulliver’s Kingdom is a popular place to visit. From rides and attractions as well as seasonal events, this is the place to go for new adventures within easy reach of the Peak District National Park.
Located in Matlock Bath, this pretty town is located in the gorge of the River Derwent and has rocky hillside crags, beautiful riverside walks in the fresh air and a cable car to the Heights of Abraham; a country park with walking trails, fossil exhibitions, a café and picnic areas. Canine companions are more than welcome at the park and they can even enjoy the cable car ride.
