A country hideaway like no other, sitting above a garage next to the owner’s home, at the end of a private drive. First floor views of the surrounding Derbyshire countryside, and a furnished patio area to enjoy the summer evenings.
This is a character filled one bedroom cottage, all on the first floor, with a spacious bathroom with a full size bath, all under a beamed, sloping roof.
You’ll be pleased to hear that Swallows Nest is doggie friendly. One well behaved pet will love the cottage, and can stay with you free of charge.

Things To Do in Crich, Matlock
Nestled in the country village of Crich, near the Derbyshire town of Matlock, and with a mainline train station to take you further afield if you feel like it. The cottage has stunning views, its first floor location looking out onto the superb rolling countryside, including the Peak District National Park just away to the north west.
There are 3 acres of grounds surrounding the cottage, which you and your furry friend are welcome to explore. Take a walk into the village, with 2 pubs and a village bakery, and its big open green space at its heart.
A walk or short drive north takes you to Crich Tramway Village, a unique visitor attraction and home of the National Tramway Museum. Great for a morning or afternoon out, the Village also has a lovely country pub to refresh yourselves at.
The River Derwent flows through the area, and upstream is some spectacular scenery on the way to Matlock. Don’t miss the Heights of Abraham, a park sitting on top of a hill and accessed by cable car.
The views from here are unrivalled, and there’s also a cafe, fossil exhibition and plenty of walking trails for you and pooch to follow. Further north is the charming riverside arcade at Matlock Bath, and the town of Matlock further north again.
Here you’ll find independent shops, pubs and restaurants, in a thriving market town which caters for tourists superbly. The train from here will take you back to Whatstandwell, near Crich, or to the major local towns of Chesterfield and Derby
