The great news is that Hill Farm is doggie friendly. One well-behaved pet is welcome to stay with you, there’s lots for them to do, and they stay for no extra charge.

Things To Do in Harby, Nr Meltown Mowbray
Nestled at the end of a lane outside the Leicestershire village of Harby, close to Melton Mowbray, and within easy reach of Nottingham and Grantham. This stunning farm cottage is extremely roomy, with two living rooms for larger groups to relax in their own space.
The open countryside is all around, and Hill Farm is a working farm, which will excite your furry friend and stimulate kids if you have any. There’s even a stream at the bottom of the garden. Harby is a mile and a half away, just a brisk country walk or a short drive. Here you’ll find a pub, cafe, and organic farm shop.
The Grantham Canal flows around the village, and again you’ll pick up lovely walking trails or bike routes all along this quiet waterway.
Seven miles to the south is the market town of Melton Mowbray, world famous for its pork pies. Melton lies on the River Eye, and is both a pretty market town and a serious urban centre, with all the retail therapy, fast food outlets, pubs and restaurants a large group could want on a day out.
It also has some lovely riverside parks in the heart of town. Melton also sits in the Vale of Mowbray, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This includes the Twinlakes outdoor and theme parks, to keep energetic pooches and youngsters happy.
Nottingham is a short drive up the A606, and has everything you’d want from a major modern city. There’s also a regular train service here from Melton Mowbray.
Hill Farm is an ideal place for a larger group of family and / or friends to spend some time together. It has enough room for people of all ages to find their own space, both indoors and out.
Spend the mornings and evenings sitting out in the big open garden with its patio and garden furniture, or take a walk by the stream by the garden. Harby is a lovely English village, perfect for a nice walk, and with a dog friendly pub at the end of it.
Enjoy the open countryside, with signposted walks and cycle trails, plus the canal and many small waterways which criss cross the area. Enjoy the delights of Melton Mowbray, or head off for a day or night out in east midlands capital of Nottingham. Whatever sort of break you’re after, Hill Farm is the perfect base.
