This converted, Grade II listed mews building in the grounds of a stately home has two beamed double bedrooms on the sloping roofed first floor, one with en-suite facilities. Large living room, arched doorway through to separate dining room, plus well equipped kitchen.
You’ll be delighted to know Meynell Mews is doggie friendly. One or two well behaved pets are welcome to stay, and for no extra charge.

Things To Do in Breedon on the Hill, Nr Loughborough
Nestled in the grounds of Breedon Hall, and only accessible by a leafy lane, No.1 Meynell Mews is a country cottage like no other. The Hall’s grounds are in the heart of Breedon on the Hill, which the village was built to serve. The private, walled gardens are beautifully cared for, and a perfect place to start the day.
Walk down the lane into the village, and you’ll find two dog friendly pubs, one of them a gastropub, so you’ll have the perfect place to start or end a day out. Visit the nearby Priory Church of St Mary and St Hardulph, in the grounds of a monastery dating back to the 7th Century, and see its Anglo Saxon sculptures.
Head out from the village on one of the many country lanes, paths and bridleways across the area.
Just to the west of Breedon is Staunton Harold Reservoir, which has a sailing club. Also, next to the lake is the National Trust property of Calke Abbey, which has fabulous grounds for human and canine visitors to explore, plus a lovely orangery. Go east from Breedon and you’ll find a golf course with equipment and greens for hire.
For a different type of experience, head just over a mile north east to Donington Park Circuit. This has events throughout the year, and you can also book a track if you’re brave enough. Donington also has a farmhouse diner for the less adventurous. A short drive takes you to Derby, which has all the shopping, eating and drinking venues you could want.
