About Meg’s Cottage
The two ensuite bedrooms sport zip and fit super king size beds that can be converted into twin beds if needs be, allowing up to four guests.
The garden and patio are enclosed, perfect for up to two dogs to run around in safely. The views are unparalleled from the outside eating area.
The four acres of woodland surrounding the cottage are great for leashed walks with the puppies as there a free roaming sheep in the area.

Things To Do in Butterton, Leek
Nestled on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands and Derbyshire Peaks, the walking, hiking, climbing and mountain biking to be had in the area are second to none.
Meg’s Cottage is in the heart of the Peak District which means you will be near many of the famous trails and hills in the area such as The Roaches, Tissington Trail, Manifold Valley, High Peak and Dovedale. Some of theses hikes might be a little taxing on smaller dogs so inquire about the trail before setting off.
The countryside directly surrounding the cottage is dotted with villages and towns ripe for exploration. There is a pub and restaurant a mere 180 yards from your front door if you are in need of some refreshment after a hard days rambling. If you are in the mood for a home cooked meal, you can stock up on essentials at the local shop or take a short drive into Leek to get a full grocery shop from one of the supermarkets there.
For some family friendly fun near Meg’s Cottage, take the kids (and big kids!) to Peak Wildlife Park where you can see exotic and endangered animals from around the world. Special attractions are the penguins, wallabies and lemurs. For true adrenaline junkies, Britain’s largest amusement park, Alton Towers, is just a 20 minute drive away but it is recommended to book well in advance.
Another notable attraction within driving distance of Meg’s Cottage is Ilam Park which allows leashed dogs all year round and has wonderful manicured lawns, a tea room and boasts spectacular views of Dovedale and Thorpes Cloud.
