Sitting in a quiet street in a lovely suburb, with parks and hills all around. Escape the noise and stress of the big city with this ideal mix of fresh air, space and tons to do, all right on your doorstep.
Pub and restaurant one mile away, shop half a mile. Chesterton Park is a short stroll away, and the perfect place to take your furry friends for a walk in the morning.
A brisk walk, short drive or bike ride away to the south west is Apedale Community Country Park. This open space is on the site of an old coal mine, and is bursting with paths and nature trails for Fido to explore.
There are also some surprising wooded glades and open meadows. To the east of the Park are the Apedale Heritage Centre and Light Railway, where you can take a steam train and discover the area’s mining past. There’s also an excellent visitors centre and cafe.
To the west lies the county of Cheshire, which is famous for its farmers markets, independent retailers and elegant towns. A drive along the A500 will take you to Nantwich, which has more listed buildings per square mile than anywhere in England.
Visit Nantwich Museum in the heart of town, or try the beautiful Dorford Hall, a short drive to the west. There are also lots of dog friendly cafes and pubs to visit in Nantwich.
Other attractions a short drive away include the historic city of Chester, Alton Towers theme park, and the fabulous Trentham Gardens, home to Monkey Forest.
Drive east, and enjoy the industrial heritage of the Potteries, with countless attractions perfect for mornings or afternoons out.
Slightly further east and you’re on the edge of the Peak District National Park, home to natural wonders and lots to do for dogs and people of all ages.
Sunflower House at Badger’s Croft is a real home from home, with the chance to spend quality time with friends and family, while also being a great base to explore local landmarks, both natural and man-made.
There’s lots of room to relax, and a big back garden to plan your days out. Start off with the local parks and woodlands, or enjoy a drink or bite to eat in the nearby pubs and restaurants. Head into the countryside, which here covers Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire.
As well as natural beauty, there is industrial and cultural heritage to enjoy, from the Peak District National Park to the Apedale Light Railway. Ideal for all the family, plus one or two canine companions.
