This well-positioned holiday getaway brings you close to Ballater, known for its links to Queen Victoria. There are wonderful wildlife spotting zones close by, too.

This ground floor cottage location sleeps 4 people across 2 bedrooms, and you can also bring two pets with you. There is a kingsize double bedroom and a twin room, with an en suite in the latter. There is a sitting room with a wood burner and facilities for dining. You’ll also find a big garden that’s got plenty of seating, too.

Within five minutes of wonderful river walks, this Aviemore cottage is close to the fabulous Cairngorms National Park, one of our personal favourites for all kinds of walking adventures. Take a look out at the local Kincgraig village scene for nearby pubs.

3. The Bothy in Kirriemuir

This cosy ground floor holiday nook near Aviemore offers a double bedroom as well as space for 2 dogs. You’ll also find this sleeps 2 guests max, making it a romantic getaway.
