Garedn Cottage is a classically presented holiday home which sleeps 6 people and has 3 bedrooms. You can bring a dog to stay with you, and you’ll also want to cosy up with the fantastic woodburning stove in the main sitting room. This holiday property also has its own lawned garden, if the name didn’t give it away, along with bathroom and kitchen areas with mod cons.

There’s a farmhouse kitchen here, too, adding up to a wonderful cottage experience.

Essex, in the east of England, is one of the Home Counties surrounding London. Boasting Colchester, Britain’s oldest city, there is plenty of history to discover in the county. It also has the world’s longest pleasure pier – at 1.3 miles long, Southend Pier has a train service that takes you to the end if you don’t fancy the walk.

Along the coast there are other lively seaside towns, such as Clacton-on-Sea and Canvey Island, and there are quieter stretches like Frinton if you’re looking for some peace and quiet.

Dogs are welcome on select stretches of Essex beach all year round with summer restrictions in the busiest areas.
