The village of Polperro
is a luxury coastal resort on the South West coast with harbour views, a village lane and plenty of restaurants, shops and beaches all within close proximity. Renowned for being a top pet-friendly destination, many families flock to this part of the country for a memorable seaside break.
For quality days out in Polperro, you have a wide range of options on your doorstep. For outdoor enthusiasts, the south west coast path is a must and will take a few hours depending on the distance you travel with your dogs (see here)
. If the weather is poor, there are many indoor activities to try such as Fowey Aquarium, Polperro Model Village, St Austell Leisure Centre & Kidzworld Adventure Play.
Further afield from Polperro and the South Coast there are a number of animals to see at the various parks, these include the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary & Porfell Wildlife Park. Another fantastic day out which we highly recommend is experiencing the Bodmin & Wenford Railway which lets you discover the nostalgia and excitement of steam travel with a journey similar to 1950s travel. Some of these attractions may not be pet friendly but there is still plenty to do with your dogs.
Many of the pubs & eateries around Polperro, South Cornwall are pet friendly (well behaved dogs) with plenty of walking trails around the harbour, the south coast and even the Polperro Heritage Museum is pet friendly. Talland Bay beach is one of the most popular spots as it is pet friendly all year round and usually gets good weather for a gentle stroll. Make sure to get the window seats if you go past Bodmin Moor, there are miles of countryside trails for you to explore and they are all pet friendly, so you’ll be sure to have a memorable experience.
