The largest county in the UK and is packed with cottages and is certainly pet-friendly. The people who are born and raised here are proud of their beautiful part of the country, and it’s easy to see why so many people holiday here.
The Dales spring immediately to mind. With peaks, valleys, and dry-stone walls separating fields of cows and sheep, the scenery is incredible at every turn.

Castles, a coastline, and cities such as York, Harrogate, Leeds and Hull give visitors a choice of attractions. And the pretty villages in between offer dog-friendly pubs and cafes serving cream teas to die for.
