And at night the view of the stars is amazing as the park is in a Dark Sky Area. Hop in the car and explore the region – visit the Northumberland coast or the lively city of Newcastle, both are within easy reach.

About Juniper Lodge
New for 2019, Juniper Lodge is one of a handful of holiday homes on the park.
There are 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people and one double room comes with an en-suite shower room. The open-plan living area is spacious and has a sofa, 43” Smart TV, electric fire, dining table and chairs.
The modern kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, halogen hob, oven and microwave. There’s a decking area outside with garden furniture and a private hot tub. The large grounds are shared with other guests.

Things To Do in Bellingham
Otterburn is a small village in the stunning Northumberland National Park. There was a bloody battle here in 1388 and the local people were terrorised during the Border Reivers.
The village has a quiet pub and a small local shop for all your holiday essentials. Otterburn Mill, on the way out of the village, was a textile mill well-known for its rugs. It’s now an outdoor clothing store with a café that’s very popular.
Northumberland National Park is a rugged area ideal for challenging hikes with your pooch. It’s also Europe’s largest Dark Sky Area so put aside some time to gaze at the stars – you will rarely seem them so clearly. Kielder Forest is the ideal destination for those who love outdoor pursuits.
The largest man-made lake in Europe is at the centre of the forest where fishing is on offer, and there’s the chance to booker archery, a Segway tour and zip-lining here too.
The Roman Town at Corbridge sits alongside Hadrian’s Wall. Streets and buildings can clearly be seen in the ruins, and there’s a display of relics found locally as well. Corbridge also has a modern-day town centre with lots of gift shops and tea rooms.
Newcastle-upon-Tyne is a lively cultural hub with an atmospheric old town boasting a couple of museums. A theatre and art gallery can be found in the city along with a cathedral and castle. Walk along the Tyne River and see the Tyne Bridge – it’s a well-known landmark.
The Quayside is another pleasant area to visit in the city. Drive a few miles farther to spend a day on the coast. The Northumberland seaside is rarely crowded so it’s a bit of a hidden gem.
Northumberland has a lot to offer visitors. The National Park is dramatic and the coastline uncrowded so outdoor lovers will enjoy spending time in this area.
Hadrian’s Wall is a landmark not to be missed and Newcastle offers cultural pursuits and a full range of shops. After a long day exploring, Jupiter Lodge is the perfect place to return to.
