Things To Do in Thornton-Cleveleys
Located in the suburb of Thornton-Cleveleys, a quiet seaside town just north of the bright lights of Blackpool. The beach is 650 yards from your front door, there’s a pub 400 yards away and a shop and restaurant just over 200 yards away. Cleveleys is a quiet town which is very popular with retirees.
The sea front has fabulous views of the Irish Sea, as well as pubs, shops, restaurants and cinema. There’s also a supermarket to stock up with provisions during your stay.
There is a modern tram service passing through the town, which is great if you want to leave the car at home. Take this north to Fleetwood, a lovely fishing town with its Marine Hall and museum, plus a market for fresh fish and other local produce. There’s also the Freeport Outlet shopping village if you fancy some retail therapy.
Take the tram south, and pass through the lovely town of Bispham on the way to Blackpool. The tram joins the coast at this point, so you can jump off at any point and start walking with your furry friends down the promenade or coastal path.
Blackpool tower lies up ahead, and there are loads of eateries and other refreshment stops along the way. For a day out, Blackpool has a zoo, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life Centre, as well as its world famous pleasure beach.
For other days out, head west into the countryside, which includes the nearby Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are many planned walks and other activities for both pets and humans.
