Things To Do in Ilkley Moor

Ilkley Moor offers great walks for the whole family and the dog. At the top, the Cow and Calf boulders can be reached via a challenging foot path, but the reward of incredible views from the top are worth the effort. Ilkley itself is an interesting town. There is a concert hall, a toy museum, a maze, cafes and restaurants plus a range of independent shops and well-known chain stores. It is also the start of the Dales Way – an 80 mile walk that ends in Bowness-on-Windermere. Of course, you don’t have to complete the whole route to enjoy the scenery here.

Otley is a nearby market town that is the birth place of Thomas Chippendale. The famous cabinetmaker is celebrated with a statue in his honour. The cobbled streets and the River Wharfe are lovely to stroll around.

Our Thoughts

The accommodation at Faweather Grange is top of the range in every way. All the little extras, like a wood burner, hot tub and decks with a view ensure that a holiday here is really special.

For active types, there are 3 golf courses, cycle trails, fishing lakes and walking paths nearby. And if you like a pretty market town to wander, then Ilkley and Otley are both within easy reach.

These luxury lodges are extremely popular among couples and families who are looking to escape the busy city and enjoy a rural retreat like no other.
