About The Old Dairy Cottage
Originally the old dairy store, this adorable apartment has been fitted with special little touches like a wood burning stove. To make sure guests are snug and warm all year round, there’s underfloor heating throughout.
The apartment is on the lower ground floor of a 250-year-old Georgian house. It’s perfectly formed for a couple plus one pooch with a double bedroom. The kitchen is beautifully equipped and comes with a characterful butler sink. With beams, a fireplace and a stable door, the many rustic features create a cosy feel.
This dog-friendly place welcomes one pet to stay so you can take your doggy best friend along for a seaside holiday in Yorkshire. Dogs on the beach are permitted from October to April – but in the summer there are restrictions in place for the main stretches of sand.

Things To Do in Osgodby
Located to the south of the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast, Scarborough has two sandy beaches, amusements, donkeys and a castle. Hike along the Cleveland Way or take a trip on a steam train – the choice of things to do is vast. Scarborough was the UK’s first seaside resort. Back in the 17th century, visitors flocked to the town for the healing spring water and it’s been a firm favourite with families ever since. Divided into 2 parts – the South Bay is lively with donkey rides and slot machines.
The North Bay is a quieter place with brightly coloured beach huts lining the promenade. Scarborough Castle defends the headland between the two bays. Why not climb the battlements, take in the views and discover all about the long history of this area.
For walkers and ramblers, there’s the Cleveland Way. It stretches for 110 miles between Filey and Helmsley so there’s plenty of place to roam with your dog. Bird watchers and nature lovers can spend time at the RSPB reserve at Bempton. This protected area covers 5km of Yorkshire cliffs, and puffins, guillemots and seals can be spotted here.
Scarborough has it all. Wide, sandy beaches, a 12th century castle, shops, pubs and amusements. For a break away with your dog, it’s a great base from which to walk the Moors or the spectacular cliff-top coastline.
You can fill your days here lots of different ways – spend time doing what gives you the most joy. The Old Dairy is in the centre of things, and you’ll find all you need within a few minutes’ stroll.
The apartment has been beautifully decorated with lots of luxury fittings to ensure your time here is comfortable and a pleasure. The fire and underfloor heating means that even in the dead of winter, it’s cosy and warm inside this accommodation.
