The cottage has a rural location and is found down a long private driveway. It’s a perfect base for visiting this part of Yorkshire, with Skipton just 9 miles away, and the Forest of Bowland on the doorstep.
There are lots of long walks close by – the Ribble Way passes close to the front door and the Penine Bridleway is within easy reach. Most of the local pubs and eateries are dog friendly so you can all enjoy refreshments at the end of a challenging hike.

In the open-plan living area there is a sofa, TV, Wi-fi and dining table with chairs. The kitchen has a washing machine and microwave.

Things To Do in Wigglesworth, West Yorkshire
Wigglesworth is a tiny village in Yorkshire with a pub, post office and views as far as the eye can see. The Ribble Way – a long distance walking route – passes by the village. It is 119 km long in total and links the Lancashire Coast with the Yorkshire Dales, ending at the source of the Ribble.
The Forest of Bowland is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cycle paths, walking trails, reservoirs, valleys, peaks and cafes can all be found here. At night, the stars can be seen clearly as there is little light pollution in this area.
The nearest large town is Settle home to a museum, a few independent shops and a choice of places to eat. Skipton is a few miles further and is known as the gateway to the Dales.
It’s a large and friendly town with a canal running through the centre where boat trips can be booked. The high street has a nice mix of gift shops, clothing stores and tea rooms, and there are award-winning pie shops too.
Skipton Castle is 800 years old and one of the best-preserved Medieval fortifications in the UK. There is plenty to see in the castle, and the best bit is that dogs are welcome inside. The grounds offer a lovely wooded walk as well.
Malham, in the Yorkshire Dales, is a village and starting point of many pretty walks. Park the car and hike to see Gordale Scar and Janet’s Foss waterfall.
There’s a café and a pub in Malham, the perfect reward after a long walk in the stunning countryside. Bolton Abbey is a great place to visit with the dog, the ruins are stunning and there are lovely walking paths around it and along the water’s edge. Take a picnic and enjoy eating lunch alfrresco.

With the Forest of Bowland and Yorkshire Dales nearby, the location is a walker’s dream. You can choose gentle strolls enjoying the great outdoors, or challenge yourself to a longer trail with peaks to climb.
Whichever way you drive, there are charming villages, rolling hills and fields occupied by sheep to see. And the larger towns, like Skipton, offer a full range of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
