For spotting wildlife, this is the place to head. Spurn Point at the very tip of Sunk Island has a bird observatory of real importance.
Visitors enjoy this volunteer-run location where rare birds and seals can be seen. The salt marshes in the area provide more places to find natural wildlife and plants, plus a pathway along Stone Creek gives you a great place to walk with the dog.
Withernsea is nearby. This East Yorkshire seaside town is a delightful place to visit with a long sandy beach, amusement arcades and a selection of eateries including fine fish and chip shops. In the middle of the town is a lighthouse that boasts an interesting museum with old photographs. There is thought to be a connection with the author Tolkien to the area too.
