This is a truly unique holiday cottage, with 7 bedrooms and enough space for 14 people. Three bathrooms, with baths and showers.

Things To Do in Malpas, Oldcastle
Nestled in a tree lined valley near the Welsh border in south west Cheshire, within easy reach of Wrexham and Chester. This fabulous old mill has its original water wheel, and makes superb use of the stout, brick built mill house construction. The views out into the river valley and the stepped garden are superb, and the cottage itself is perfectly converted to take them in.
Two balconies are on the first floor, overlooking the front and river side of the Mill, while there’s a decked ground floor area with access to to the garden, via big patio doors. Pub, shops and restaurant within 3 miles, so you’re never too far away from refreshment and supplies.
Malpas is near the borders of both Wales and Shropshire, in some of the most beautiful countryside the UK has to offer. For those with pooches, there are countless footpaths, bridleways and woodland trails to explore, not to mention river banks and rolling hills. To the east lies the charmingly named village of No Man’s Heath, with a lovely country pub to welcome the weary, thirsty and hungry walker.
Slightly further east is Bar Mere, a tree lined lake at the mouth of a few of the many local waterways. Perfect for a peaceful morning or afternoon out, with maybe a camera or smart phone to take pictures of the local wildlife. To the south, the county of Shropshire has the lovely city of Shrewsbury, which is perfect for a day trip. There’s lots of historic visitor attractions, historic sites and individual shops to browse through.
Old Castle Mill is worth visiting in its own right, the result of years of investment and careful restoration. It has 7 bedrooms spread over three floors in the main building, and two floors in a separate annexe. It is the perfect place for a few families or groups of friends to get together away from the rest of the world, including one or two furry friends along for the journey.
