About Bowness Lodge
A rural getaway in a state of the art holiday lodge with French doors leading out onto a decked patio, including garden furniture and hot tub.
This is a modern two bedroom lodge with a sunny, open plan living and dining area, and everything on one level. En suite double bedroom, and a roomy twin. Bathroom with bath.
You’ll be pleased to hear that Bowness Lodge is doggie friendly. You’re welcome to bring one or two well behaved four legged friends with you. There’s no extra charge, and so much for them to enjoy.

Things To Do in Troutbeck, Nr Windermere
Nestling in the valley of the Trout Beck, which flows past Limefitt Park, of which Bowness Lodge is a part. There’s a children’s adventure playground and games room on site, plus a country pub and a shop where you get all the essentials.
Nearby is a pony trekking centre, so adults and kids alike can save their legs exploring the surrounding hills. For the more energetic, there are cycle hire facilities in the area, plus centres which hire out fishing equipment for nearby Lake Windermere.
There are several full size golf courses nearby, plus a crazy golf and miniature golf courses on the banks of Lake Windermere itself.
The lodge and holiday park are in the heart of the Lake District National Park, which is the UK’s most visited, and with good reason. The views of the surrounding fells and lakes are spectacular whichever way you turn, and there are hundreds of miles of signposted walks and trails to follow. Curious doggies will also appreciate all the wildlife which finds a home here, from rare birds of prey to roe deer and otters. The Lakes is also home to some stunning villages, and lanes bounded by dry stone walls which invite walkers of all abilities.
Lake Windermere has a host of visitor centres around its banks, some of which offer boating trips, others more extreme water sports, and others still which just offer the chance to sit and admire the amazing view. To the east is the lovely Lakeland town of Kendal, which has individual shops, pubs and restaurants for a great day out.
