One of the most sought-after destinations in the UK, it’s no surprise dog friendly glamping in the Lake District has taken off in recent years.

Keswick, Lake District

From here, there is a path that runs alongside the old railway line, which you can walk and cycle on, and it will lead you into the busy town of Keswick. Threlkeld village is also easily accessible, or for a more active activity, try watersports on Bassenthwaite Lake or Derwent Water.

Due to its remote location on a working sheep farm, you are surrounded by stunning countryside and fells. The village of Threlkeld is just 1 mile away and has country pubs, a golf course and a cricket pavilion. Derwentwater is 12 miles for a day out on the lake.

Brampton, Lake District
This stunning ground-floor luxury camping escape has an open-plan living room with a king-size bed, a walk-in shower and a woodburning stove in the lounge. There is an enclosed decking area with a jacuzzi and a seating area to admire the peaceful views over the lake.
Ideal for a couple wanting to explore Cumbria, this hut is also near the North Pennines AONB, with abundant wildlife. Carlisle is only 10 miles and has a range of shops, pubs and activities to try or head south towards Penrith in the heart of the Lakes.

There is a walk-in shower, a tv in the lounge and off-road parking for one vehicle. There is a beautiful decking area to the front of the rental with a BBQ and jacuzzi.
You have easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Park, with various wildlife, walks and cycling routes available. There is a market at Kirkby Lonsdale every Thursday, and it gives visitors an excellent opportunity to explore the independent shops.
Appleby-In-Westmorland, Lake District
This upscale glamping retreat has a studio-style layout with a double bed, sitting area, kitchen and an electric fire. There is a walk-in shower, wifi is available, and it has a private garden with furniture and a lawn. There are also a few steps to the entrance of the property.
The local pub, the Stagg Inn at Dufton, has a great menu and serves a selection of tasty ales. You can also take a lovely walk along the River Eden with your dog or head further afield in the car to the bustling town of Penrith, which is home to a 14th-century castle.
