There are a couple of brilliant spots for bird enthusiasts at the Red Kite Feeding Centre and Elan Valley, which are within 6 miles. For those who enjoy strolls with their pets, you can head up the trails to the waterfalls of Devils Bridge.
Caledrhydiau, West Wales
This fabulous glamping pod boasts lakeside views from its countryside location. There is a double bed in the sleeping area, a shower room with a wash basin and toilet and a smart TV in the lounge. You can rustle up some homemade food on your BBQ or enjoy a soak in the new private hot tub.

Luxury camping doesn’t come much better than this glamping escape. Set in beautiful ancient woodland, it has a double bedroom and a small double sofa bed that would accommodate children. There is a shower, washing machine available and an enclosed garden with a chiminea and charcoal BBQ.
The local 400-year-old pub is just a short walk from this glampsite; you can also visit Mold’s street market, which has a range of shops and eateries. For further afield, Abergele Beach is 12 miles away and an excellent picnic spot.
Brecon, Mid Wales

The River Usk is just 3 miles, and you can enjoy fantastic activities such as white water canoeing or jumping on the Brecon Mountain Railway for a scenic trip. Swansea is 29 miles and has a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions.
Anglesey, North Wales
This a unique hideaway for any glampers who enjoy a countryside break. There are stone steps leading to the property, and inside, there is a double bed, shower room and woodburner. In the garden, you can relax in the wood-fired hot tub or sit around the fire pit on the wooden benches.
From this glamping rental, you are overlooking the RSPB Wetlands Reserve, and for those who love animals, Anglesey Sea Zoo is just a short drive. For a high-speed day out, the Motor Racing Circuit is just a few miles or you can travel further afield to Snowdonia National Park and Zip World.
Monmouth, South Wales

Hay-on-Wye Town, Wales
One of the more popular dog friendly glampsites in Wales, this stylish glamping cabin has two bedrooms, one bathroom and a spacious lounger area that benefits from a woodburner. There is no tv in the property, but game and coarse fishing rights are available, as is canoe hire through the owners.
For history lovers, Hay Castle is a short walk and great for a few hours or trek up the black mountain and experience breathtaking views over the Welsh countryside. For watersports, rafting and gorge jumping are just a couple that are available in the national park.
Talybont-On-Usk, Wales
A stunning safari lodge on a working farm is perfect for a family wanting a holiday in the Welsh countryside. It has three bedrooms, a double, twin and cabin bed with a double mattress. There is one bathroom, a shared washing machine and a wood-fired hot tub on the veranda.
You can stroll into the village just a mile away, with a couple of pubs, a canal and a reservoir. As you are located in the national park, there is an abundance of wildlife and walks on your doorstep. Newport and Cardiff are south but require a considerable drive.
