About Avallon Lodges

Four of the traditional lodges come with a hot tub outside. This is the perfect place to lie back in the bubbling water and do a bit of stargazing. Whatever the time of year, relaxation doesn’t come much better than this.

On a working farm with plenty of space between each accommodation, there are only 6 eco lodges at Avallon. There are views across the Cornish countryside from the timber homes, and a nature trail to follow to spot wildlife.

Up to 2 dogs are welcome to stay with you in most of the lodges. Check for the pet-friendly logo when you book. With more than 200 acres to explore at this working farm, there is more than enough space to walk – just keep Fido on a lead where the animals are located.

Map of Area

Things To Do in Bude

With the ruined castle overlooking the town, narrow streets and formal town square, it has maintained an air of importance.

It is close to the border between Cornwall and Devon, and both the south and north coasts are within easy reach. The ancient town has a range of independent shops and eateries, as well as a list of festivals and events that take place throughout the year.

For rides on a Victorian steam train, Launceston has its own narrow-gauge railway that runs to the hamlet of Newmills. Visitors can climb aboard open-top carriages if the weather permits. Tintagel on the north coast is just 30 minutes away, where cliff top walks with the dogs can be enjoyed.

The 12th century castle stands on a rugged area that is reached via a steep set of steps that are not for the faint hearted. Boscastle is just minutes further up the coast. This fishing village has a picturesque natural harbour that is the subject of many photographs.

Our Thoughts

The 6 eco holiday homes at Avallon Lodges offer the ideal place for a quiet getaway on a working farm. There is plenty of countryside to roam in with the dog, and the Tamar Valley is close by for long walks along the river that separates Devon and Cornwall.

This dog-friendly area is a popular destination with families who like to holiday in the UK. With a choice of beaches, tasty food, traditional pubs and glorious countryside, it’s easy to understand why people return here year after year.
