Things To Do in Penzance
Nestling in the owner’s property, a superb barn conversion on the West Cornwall coast, with white sandy beaches and miles of clifftop walks to enjoy.
Get away from the city with a relaxing, laid back break near Land’s End, where you and a couple of canine companions can get some air into your lungs. Pub and shop 3 miles.
Numphra sits in the heart of the Penwith Heritage Coast, which hugs this part of Cornwall around Land’s End to the north, west and south.
The South West Coast Path is an almost unbroken clifftop path which follows the coast, with spectacular views and hidden coves at every turn. Follow the lane or water channel west through Kelynack and pick up the path near Porth Nanven, on the Celtic Sea.
The village of St. Just is a short drive or medium doggie walk inland, and has a baker, shops and a dog friendly pub to stop off in.
This is the perfect spot to plan your days out, starting with a visit to nearby Cape Cornwall, which lies just to the north west. Here you’ll find superb views all around, from a craggy clifftop vantage point which sums up the west Cornish coast perfectly.
A drive south takes you to Land’s End itself, where you can stop off for a few selfies with your furry friends. Keep going south and enjoy the superb open air Minack Theatre, an amphitheatre carved out of the cliff face at Porthcurno.
To the west is Porthgwarra Beach, a lovely beauty spot with more superb views and a sheltered tea shop with a lawn for your four legged friends to rest up.
At the north end of the Heritage Coast is the town of St. Ives, which is a haven for culture vultures and art lovers, and now has its very own Tate Gallery.
