Things To Do in Bude
There are plenty of country and coastal walks nearby, and lots of beaches that are dog-friendly. The cottage is just 6 miles from Widemouth Bay’s golden sands, a favourite spot with surfers, and 9 miles from Bude with its historic castle, lively city centre and wide range of excellent restaurants and bars.
Nearby are Tintagel, Rock and Padstow fishing villages, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors, as well as the renowned Eden Project, just a short drive away.
Other great sites to visit include Summerleaze Beach. Summerleaze Beach is the central hub of sand, surf and sun in Bude, and for many visitors, it is the first port of call. This beach is the number one surf spot for surfers and families, clean, secure and stunning to look at. The walks and beaches are perfect for the dogs to run around. So take a ball or a Frisbee with you on your day out. Summerleaze is probably the best beach in Cornwall for outdoor activities and water sports.
Bude Sea Pool is a part-natural, partly man-made tidal pool. It was constructed under the Summerleaze Beach cliffs in the 1930s to ensure secure bathing in the ocean, but away from the bay’s hazardous Atlantic currents.
See the splendid countryside on two wheels. This is one of the most pleasant and active ways to take in Bude’s sights. You will discover a wonderful location for cycling with highways and paths that are usually quiet and available. Your dogs can join you just don’t pedal too fast so they can keep up with you.
Little Whiteleigh is tailor-made for couples who want to escape their crazy city life. This pretty little detached cottage has all the comforts you will need from accommodation away from home. This attention to detail is outstanding.
From the cosy lounge with a wood burner to the enclosed outdoor patio. Throw a blanket in front of the wood burner and cuddle up with some hot chocolate. Your canine companions will enjoy this cosy spot as much as you will. The sunny patio is the perfect spot to enjoy morning breakfasts or a glass or two of your favourite beverage in the evening. Your four-legged friends will also enjoy your company outside while they play.
Little Whiteleigh is the perfect pet-friendly romantic retreat. You don’t have to leave your canine companion behind. There is a doggie day care on request if you want to go out alone. Don’t let this stunning holiday destination pass you by.
