The local beach is fantastic and stretches for over a mile. It’s long been a favourite holiday spot with families who return here year after year.

Down on the beach there is space to play, and surfers can be seen out on the waves. The town has a chip shop, a general store and a lively pub on the back of the beach. Around 9 miles up the coast, the harbour town of Penzance can be found.

It’s a quaint place famous for its smuggling past, and the shops here are filled with lovely artisan items. Michael’s Mount is within easy reach – a tidal island that gets cut off when the water is high. Overlooking Michael’s Mount is a bay featuring tiny coves that are perfect for exploring.

Our Thoughts

Cornwall is a beautiful part of England, and it’s an ideal place to take the family dog on holiday. With walks along the coast and across the countryside, there’s plenty of choice when it’s time for walkies.

Many of the pubs welcome doggy companions inside, so enjoying an evening meal out is easy to do. The caravans and lodges at Praa Sands are comfortable and stylish, and the ideal accommodation to return to after a long day out exploring.
