The Lanwithan Estate welcomes dogs to the grounds – and with acres of land to walk on, there is no shortage of space to roam. With the River Fowey on the edge of the property, there’s waterside views to take in as you wander.

Lostwithiel has lots to offer visitors to the area. It is a riverside town steeped in history with a Medieval Bridge, ruined castle, Duchy Palace and 12th century church.
The Lostwithiel Museum is a good place to start with lots of information about the local area, plus it’s free to enter. There are numerous independent shops selling crafts, clothing, farm foods and great coffee, the farmers market here has won awards, and the antique shops are well-known and very popular. When it comes to festivals and fairs, this traditional town has a calendar full of them so make sure you check the posters to see what’s on next.
The Eden Project is nearby, where visitors tour the biodomes full of plants, flowers and insects. Learn about sustainability and the importance of caring for nature – it’s great for young and old plus doggies can come in too. The quaint fishing village of Polperro is within reach, and for a day on the beach, head for Polkerris – a yellow curve of sand that offers water sports and cafes.
