Things To Do in Halberton
This fabulous holiday cottage lies in the heart of the Devon village of Halberton. As you’d expect, the local pub and shops are just a short walk away, giving you and your four legged friend every chance to enjoy the local hospitality.
Here you are just five miles away from Tiverton, a busy market town which is the heart of East Devon. Not far away to the east is the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are superb transport links throughout the local area.
Many holidaymakers choose to walk with their doggies along the banks of the Great Western Canal, or the nearby River Exe. To travel further afield, this part of Devon is spoilt for choice of scenic local railways. These dog friendly passenger services link Barnstaple to the northwest with the cathedral city of Exeter, and then on to Exmouth and the south coast.
For those with children, Diggerland Devon is a short drive away down the nearby M5 motorway. This offers rides on diggers, tractors and other large machinery, which often please dads as much as their kids. For more sedate visits, the National Trust has a number of nearby attractions, all of which are pet friendly.
