About Ramblers Rest
With a rustic stone fireplace in the living room, the family can snuggle up in front of a fire when the weather is cooler. In the kitchen-diner there’s a dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave, so you have all the equipment you need for a great holiday base.
The retreat is a terraced cottage situated in a quiet village. On the ground floor, the living room is cosy, and the kitchen is modern, fully equipped and comes with a dining table and chairs.
You can take your canine buddy with you when you holiday in Devon, because this property welcomes up to 2 dogs to stay. Throughout the downstairs the floors are tiled so muddy paw prints can be cleaned up easily. And with Dartmoor on the doorstep, there’s plenty of space to wear energetic doggies out.

Things To Do in Crediton
Neatly sandwiched between Dartmoor, Exmoor, the north coast and the south coast, Crediton has an enviable location.
Okehampton is on the edge of Dartmoor and the town boasts a Victorian Shopping Arcade with boutiques, coffee shops and craft stores.
The museum here houses an exhibition about Dartmoor life, and there’s Devon’s largest castle to tour as well. A number of walking trails start in the town, such as the Deer Park circuit, a 4.5 miles long route that takes you past medieval longhouses and along woodland tracks. Perfect for exercising the pooch.
Head north to Westward Ho! and enjoy a day on this glorious beach. It’s 2.5km long so there is always a spot you can call your own. From May to October dogs are restricted to the quieter areas of the sand, but there are signs pointing the way.
You’ll find beach shops, a surf shack, ice-cream parlours and a place to get fish and chips – all the things you want from a British seaside. Clovelly fishing village is close by – it’s a picture perfect place with cobbled streets and boats in the harbour.
Located in the centre of Devon, Ramblers Rest gives you the best of all worlds. Dartmoor is just a few miles away for hikes in the countryside, and Woolacombe, Sidmouth and Dawlish can be reached within 30 minutes for places on the north and south coast.
If you enjoy a cycle ride together, the Tarka Trail is 40 minutes away where you can hire a bike and set off. And Exeter, a town steeped in history, is just around the corner.
After sightseeing all day, it’s great to know that your accommodation is comfy and fully equipped. And with a little seating area out the front, this cottage is just the place to relax and unwind before setting off again to explore somewhere new.
