About Smuggler’s Retreat
This three bedroom stone seaside cottage sleeps up to six guests and one furry friend. Farmhouse style open plan living, dining room and kitchen.
Uninterrupted views of the ocean from the furnished patio, featuring a hot tub and barbeque. It has a low stone outer wall so be warned to keep larger family pets in check.
There is a fully equipped games room on site with table tennis, pool table, darts and skittle alley. Soft play equipment for the little ones.

Things To Do in Hartland Point
The cottage and farm are within an Area Of Natural Beauty that sweeps along the Heritage coast of Hartland and beyond so it is the perfect base for ramblers or birders.
There is the stunning South West Coast Path that runs along Hartland Point that is perfect for day hikes with your dog. In easy reach of Hartland Peninsula viewpoint and tourist information.
If you carry on a bit further along the coastal path, you will find Hartland Point Lighthouse that has a delightful little cafe with amazing views over the Bristol Channel.
If you are in search of sandy beaches, a short drive up the coast from the cottage takes you to Westward Ho!, famed for its surfing.
South of the cottage lies Bude, also a renowned surfing destination with a nice variety of shops and restaurants. There a number of picturesque sandy beaches in and around Bude such as Summerleaze and Widemouth Bay.
For a bit of history there is Castle Bude or Compass Point Tower engraved with the cardinal points. You can take your pooch along and enjoy the views over Bude.
If you are looking for something to entertain the kids, BIG Sheep Adventure Park is a nearby farm park with rides and attractions.
There are farm dogs and unvaccinated pups on site but they do provide kennels for your pup to stay in while you are enjoying the park.
There is also the space themed Milky Way Adventure Park a short drive away that does allow dogs.
If you don’t feel like going too far afield but still want to entertain the children, the farm Smuggler’s Retreat is located on has a pets corner for the kids to pet the farm animals as well as the large playing field where your little ones and your little furry one can run around and burn off some energy.
Hartland is three miles away where you can find a shop to stock up on your provisions and a gastro pub.
The stunning scenery alone is reason to spend your holiday break at Smuggler’s Retreat but in reality that is just the icing on the cake.
The stone cottage itself is homely and cosy, the patio is perfect for eating out in the fresh sea air and the hot tub is perfect for a soak after a long day hiking up and down the Heritage coastline.
There is plenty for the whole family to do in the surrounding areas or you could choose to just relax and take in the wonderful views of the mighty Atlantic Ocean.
